The Xerces Blue Butterfly was lost from Coastal California in the early 1940s due to habitat loss. This is likely due to the urban development of the area. This illustration includes deertick, which the butterfly larvae lived on, as well as sand, and a few of the many variations that this species.

Kit includes: printed sampler to stitch, all the thread you need, needle, and detailed instructional book
