Hosted by POST + Trevor Sly (of Brass Tacks Coffee Roasting)
Thursday, December 5th from 6:30pm to 8:30pm
Do you know the difference between City Roast and Vienna Roast? Ever waited in line at a coffee house wondering if it would be easier just to make it on your own? Trevor will share his knowledge and empower you to feel confident making informed choices regarding all your coffee needs!
We can all appreciate a really great cup of coffee - learn what makes it great as Trevor walks you through the stages from harvesting to brew. This 2-hour presentation will include a roasting demonstration, coffee tasting and raffle where a lucky attendee will go home with a pound of freshly roasted beans. This skill can seem intimidating at first but with a little guidance you will leave feeling encouraged and inspired to start roasting at home.
About the instructors:
Trevor has spent years as a traveler (experiencing coffee culture throughout Central America) and aficionado of coffee in all its stages. He has been a student of sourcing, various brewing methods, and roasting living all across the US. He began home roasting seven years ago, since then he has amassed a wide collection of brewing equipment (ranging from modern to antique) and gained a sincere appreciation for the science and technology behind the answer to what good coffee really is.
