A POST Still Life Series: Acrylic Painting with Lauren Harrington
Saturday January 20th from 2 to 5pm
Entry Level Class - No experience necessary however minors must have a guardian present.
This season, POST invites different artists to lead a session with their take on a POST Still Life. Lauren’s workshop will focus on acrylic painting.
For as long as people have been creating visual artwork, there has been a desire to record ordinary, everyday objects. These works evoke a mood and remind us of life’s hidden beauty. As viewers, the chosen still life objects offer some insight into the lives of others.
We believe that EVERYONE can paint. Yes, even you! By painting together, we not only learn new skills and improve our techniques, we build community through shared experience. Lose yourself in the process. Get into a flow state by focusing on a collection of POST's ordinary objects. This class is designed to be a fun, experiential, and experimental workshop for all skill levels rather than an academic dive into “learning to paint". Come join the fun!
Canvas boards, paints, brushes, and tools will be provided. If you have your own favorite tools, please feel free to bring them. Everyone will take home a still life painting and the experience of losing themselves in the process.
