Learn the basics of screen printing by using stencils to create textile repeat patterns and print your own silk bandanas using natural dyes.

In this 3 hour hands-on workshop, Shayla will teach you about designing repeat patterns and using plant-based dyes to screen print them onto fabric. Learn how to arrange different motifs, print discharge paste and dip dye the backgrounds with this fun beginner friendly textile workshop. Bring along your own one-color designs or choose from our selection of artwork to get started. You will leave with two bandanas customized to your own style. Be as elegant or whimsical as you like!

Each participant will leave with a set of two one-of-a-kind handprinted 20"W x 20"L 100% silk bandanas.

Shayla Johnson is founder and designer of Scarlet Crane Creations which is a dedicated micro-batch textile printing house that specializes hand-printed fabrics used to create home decor products and lifestyle accessories.
