Two Day Ceramic Workshop: Handbuilding Mugs
Sunday April 7th from 10:30am-2:30pm and Sunday April 14th from 10:30am-1:30pm
Beginner Level Class - Must be 16 or older.
During this 2 day workshop, Rachel will guide you through different hand-building and decorating techniques to create a unique mug for you to take home.
On day 1, you will be constructing the cup out of clay. Rachel will demonstrate different techniques and processes to build the mug by hand. You’ll have the rest of the class to create your piece.
On day 2, your mug will be ready to decorate using a variety of different color underglaze paints. After being decorated, you will apply glaze to make your mug usable and food safe.
Once your glaze is set, your mugs will be loaded into the kiln to be fired. All mugs will be ready for pick up 1 week after class after firing is complete.
