Screen Printing Workshop: Tea Towel Screen Printing

No experience necessary, however you must be 14 or older
Learn all about the basics of screen printing by using pre-cut stencils to create textile repeat patterns and print your own fringed scarf.
In this 3 hour hands-on workshop, Shayla will teach you about multi-color placement designing and the special techniques needed for screen printing repeat patterns on fabric. Learn how to arrange different motifs, mix colorful inks, and print multiple colors with this fun entry-level textile workshop. Bring along your own one-color designs or choose from our selection of artwork to get started. You will leave with a lovely scarf customized to your own style. Be as elegant or whimsical as you like!
Each participant will leave with a one-of-a-kind handprinted 20"W x 70"L 100% cotton fringed scarf.
Includes all materials and tools needed for project, as well as refreshments!

Shayla Johnson is founder and designer of Scarlet Crane Creations which is a dedicated micro-batch textile printing house that specializes in hand-printed fabrics used to create home decor products and lifestyle accessories. Unique surface patterns range from free flowing florals to abstract textures in order to produce stylish and sophisticated collections. Scarlet Crane Creations is housed right here at POST so you’ll have the opportunity to see Shayla’s work space, printing table, and work in process.
