DIY Succulent Gardens: Hypertufa Pot Workshop with Tina Genoff of Tender
Saturday May 21st
from 11am - 2pm
Entry Level Class
No experience necessary, however you must be 10 or older
Learn how to create pots in all shapes and sizes!
Learn how to care for those sweet little succulent friends too!
During this 3 hour make & take workshop, we’ll be making unique pots for indoor and outdoor use. Perfect for a small succulent garden! Tina will teach you how to make pots from molds, add various textures, and how to properly plant and care for your garden. So many shapes, sizes, and textures are possible with hypertufa!
Hypertufa is a very light form of cement, made with peat moss and perlite instead of the heavier rocks and sand. The result is a cement planter that is light and porous. These are perfect for planting succulents and other plants that need dryer soil. Everyone will take home at least one finished pot with one plant of your choice, with instructions to continue creating on your own. Additional plants will be available for purchase at POST. Tina will guide the class through plant selection, soil composition, and ongoing care for the gardens.
Aprons, gloves, and dust masks will be provided but please do not wear your best clothes/shoes. We may be getting a little dirty!
