Stained Glass Workshop: Windchimes with Carey Gustafson
Saturday July 16th from 2pm-5pm
Entry Level Class - No experience necessary. Must be 16 or older.
Explore the possibilities of colorful stained glass in this introductory make and take workshop with Carey Gustafson!
During this three-hour workshop, you’ll learn fundamental techniques for working with flat glass such as cutting, grinding, and assembling. Carey will guide you through the ins and outs of designing funky, geometric shapes using colorful, translucent glass. We’ll have a variety of tools and materials to practice with as you create a finished indoor/outdoor windchime of your own making!
This class is designed for beginners. It is the first in a series of stained glass workshops in collaboration with Glass Action, and will be required to take more advanced stained glass classes.
COVID-19 POLICY - We are asking all workshop participants to be fully vaccinated or provide a negative test result from within three days prior to the class and to accept all requests of both POST and the instructor concerning mask wearing.
About the Instructor:
Glass Action! is Carey Gustafson's home studio and stained glass designs.
A long-time portrait maker and stained glass artist Carey uses traditional stained glass fabrication techniques but uses a modern spin, look, feel, materials and humor with glass. Her Etsy shop hosts Glass Action! designs, but the heart of the business is custom portrait work. Beautiful pendants and portrait work, state pride, special event pieces and Rock N Roll night lights are a staple as well, and 2020 marks 30 years in the field and 15 years of Glass Action!
