Lettering Workshop: Make Your Mark Maker Class with Patrick Barber of Blackletterheart
Saturday October 30th
from 2pm to 5pm
Entry Level Class
No experience necessary, however you must be at least 10 (with adult)
Learn to make your own folded-nib pen using common materials and a fancy little scrap of brass. Along the way, we'll explore fundamental components of mark-making, pen and ink, and line and shape. Students will have an opportunity to use their new tools through calligraphy, drawing, or more experimenting with tool-making.
Students will leave with their own folded pen, materials and instructions to make more, along with all the art made during the class.
Make sure to wear clothing that can get inky!
COVID-19 POLICY - We are asking all workshop participants to be fully vaccinated or provide a negative test result from within three days prior to the class and to accept all requests of both POST and the instructor concerning mask wearing.
