Embroidery Workshop: Mindful Stitching with Donna Killeen - Satin/Split Stitch
Sunday December 5th
from 12:30pm - 2:30pm
Entry Level Class
No experience necessary however you must be 14 or older.
Satin and Split Stitch - Learn to use the split stitch and satin stitch to fill in your own personal design of circles and wavy lines, utilizing multiple colors of your choice. Multiple waves of lines and circles will give the beginner the repetition to perfect the dramatic effect the satin stitch can produce.
Join us for a simple embroidery class that begins with the basics. With each session learn one embroidery stitch in a letter form that will provide mastery and calm in its repetitiveness, moving into embroidering inspirational quotes. The goal would be shorter, attainable projects that are anxiety reducers and get you using your hands. The group will spend time learning and creating while sitting with others in a peaceful, welcoming meditative environment. A perfect way to spend a Sunday early afternoon.
(This is a Five session series that can be taken alone or as a whole group - no experience necessary)COVID-19 POLICY - We are asking all workshop participants to be fully vaccinated or provide a negative test result from within three days prior to the class and to accept all requests of both POST and the instructor concerning mask wearing.
