Water Bath Marbling on Many Mediums
Saturday December 30th from 10:30am to 12:30pm
Entry Level Class. No experience necessary. Must be 12 or older - minors must be accompanied by an adult.
This class is perfect for anyone who sometimes feels intimidated by arts and crafts. Because the process is very free-flowing, everyone will have some successful results!
Water marbling is an ancient technique of lightly applying pigments onto the surface of thickened water in order to create beautiful, swirling designs that may be transferred onto a range of different surfaces such as paper, leather, fabric, and more. In this hands-on workshop, you will learn about the origins of marbling art and how it has been applied in various forms. Playing with colors and a variety of tools will allow you to experiment with different patterns. We’ll show you how to properly dip paper, leather, wood, and fabric into the bath in order to perfectly transfer your trippy patterns. We'll also discuss uses for the results beyond the workshop. So many projects can be made with your marbled pieces!
