Handblown Tiny Alchemy Vases

Alchemy is a collection of KBS jewelry, vases, and other forms of glass decor, crafted by Krista Bermeo. This collection explores the theme of transformation - of earth, air, and fire, the basic elements used to create glass. The vases are hand-blown with a mini blow pipe using traditional techniques. The result is an enclosure that resembles a bubble of light or a shimmering tissue of color, created in various small sizes. Singly they can hold a dandelion on your windowsill, or a tiny bouquet for wedding favors. They can be filled with sand from your favorite beaches, or can be displayed as a colorful collection or mediation focus. What will you transform?

Sizes range from 1/2 inch to 2 1/2 inches in diameter.

Krista Bermeo Studio is a two-person, woman-owned glass lampworking studio that designs and creates every piece of jewelry in-house. Our aesthetic is a clear, focused, and minimal design that doesn't compete, but always accentuates. Krista's work is carried at the Children's Museum of Indianapolis, Newfields, Chemers Gallery, JA Sharp Gallery, Wantoot, and other boutiques and museum stores across the county and Canada. She is currently designing collections for The Phoenix Museum of Art, The Getty Center, and the Detroit Institute of Art. Her studio is located in an old downtown Indianapolis warehouse with neighbor and sometimes-collaborator Gravesco Pottery.
