Hosted by POST + Donna Killeen, from Detroit Apron Co.
Wednesday July 10th from 6pm to 9pm
During this 3 hour workshop, students will personalize a gorgeous linen + cotton blend bib apron, handcrafted by Detroit Apron Co.
Learn the basics of using a sewing machine while adding creative flair with accent pockets and stitched embellishments. Students will also learn hand-stitching techniques to embroider names, monograms, or small shapes onto fabric. Everyone will have a choice of apron color (coral or aqua), various accent fabrics, and an array of colorful embroidery floss.
Everyone will take home their custom-made apron, an embroidery needle, embroidery floss, and a marking pen. You'll be ready and well-equipped to explore many sewing/embroidery projects on your own.
