Hosted by POST + Laura Beyer
Saturday June 15th from 2 to 6pm
Learn the art of bookbinding while creating a handmade album to preserve treasured photographs.
During this hands-on workshop, Laura will teach classic bookbinding techniques, perfect for creating hand sewn, hardcover books and albums. Learn about book arts while you construct a unique photo album. This album features a historic cut paper technique to hold the photos in place. This technique highlights the beauty of handmade books and provides a utilitarian and archival solution to the DIY album. Photo pages will also be hand sewn with an exposed binding, creating a stunning gift for someone special, or to yourself.
Everyone will take home their unique handcrafted photo album and the know-how to practice future bookmaking projects.
All tools, materials, and necessary supplies will be provided. Please bring some 4x6 photographs to add to your album!
