Hosted by POST + Color Wheel Collective
Sunday April 28th from 12 to 2pm
This hands-on workshop is a great opportunity to learn about Indigo Dyeing while you revitalize a piece of your own clothing.
Our organic indigo vat will create a fresh blue upon white or cream fabric or add dimension to a color that just isn't you - starting with a yellow, red or purple garment for a rainbow of possibilities! All fabrics must be a natural fiber - no synthetics. Examples include: Cotton, Wool, Silk, Linen, Hemp, Rayon, Ramie.
Bring a worn pair of jeans, a drab blouse or sweater - any clothing that might need a revitalization to become a tried and true favorite in your wardrobe!
About the instructors:
Color Wheel is an organization that connects community and environment by exploring the history, science, and art of natural color making. Color Wheel is based in South-East Michigan. They grow indigo and other dye plants right here at POST - check out our dye garden on the NW corner of the building!
