Hosted by POST + Mutual Adoration + Tangled Creative
Sunday May 5th from 1 to 5pm
Join us for a fun two-part workshop in the studio. We'll be doing a bit of woodworking, learning macrame, and creating a unique hanging shelf all in one afternoon!
During this hands on workshop, Wayne and Clare, from Mutual Adoration will give you a tour of the wood shop. You'll select pieces from their large stock of reclaimed wood and then learn basic woodworking skills to transfer the raw, rough wood into a smooth, finished shelf. No experience is needed. We will be covering shop safety and proper tool usage - perfect for beginners.
After cutting, sanding, staining, and finishing your shelf, we'll move on to part two!
Melissa, from Tangled Creative will be teaching macrame techniques to turn your board into a decorative hanging shelf. We'll be constructing the macrame using sturdy rope in a wide array of colors. Decorative and utilitarian! You'll employ various twists, knots, textures, and fringe while you build your hanging shelf.
Everyone will take home a handcrafted wood + macrame shelf, ready to hang!
