My name is Lauren DeMarco, I am an artist and maker living in a humble home by the beach filled with thrifted treasures, art, and patterns. I have been dabbling in all sorts of media since I was a kid, more seriously when I became a nurse in 2011 and needed an outlet to cope with the challenges of my job. Over the last few years I have found my voice, have been developing my skills, and have committed to a few media through which I can communicate ideas around themes that are important to me like identity, nostalgia, growth, and gratitude. I use layers of pattern and texture to transform simple concepts into interesting pieces to warm your home! I love to weave the organic patterns and layers in nature together with more traditional, man-made patterns such as quilt blocks and plaids to add warmth and whimsy to everyday compositions. I currently maintain a fine art practice as well as a more accessible line of everyday products, mostly stickers and art prints at this time.
