This delicate basket was hand woven with Ponderosa Pine Needles that had fallen to the ground after a hard winter in Central Oregon. The embellishments just add to the handcrafted beauty. This basket features natural tigers eye agate stones.

Duffy Stender spent many years sculpting both wood and stone and came to believe that sculpting is something you feel, not something you talk about or plan. Duffy was born and raised in the rural Northwest, and inherited a strong feeling for the outdoors, both flora and fauna. He frequently combines weaving with his traditional sculpture work. Though he passed away last year, his wife - jewelry designer, Venita Stender - continues to share his work and legacy.

Jodi Lynn Burton is an artist and illustrator, born and raised in Michigan. She finds much of her inspiration from exploring the outdoors and learning about science. DCA is a podcast dedicated to interviewing makers, creators, and DIY small business owners about what they do. Rust is a warm coppery burnt orange color reminiscent of the leaves changing in fall.  Perfect for dried and autumnal toned floral arrangement adornment. Crafted using natural plant-based dyes, each vat produces slightly different colors and creates unique marbling. The smooth and lustrous ribbon is made of 100% habotai silk. Our ribbons are made from silk and are hand torn, plant dyed and rolled onto wooden spools. The lightweight silk creates a beautiful drape for wrapping a bouquet, invitations or for styling.

Each spool contains 5 yds of ribbon.

The Process: Plant dyes create deep and complex shades that seem to subtly change with the light. Although the same recipe is used for each batch, no two ribbons will be identical in color. Each step in the process of crafting this ribbon is done intentionally by hand in our Detroit studio. The result is an organic color and lightly textured ribbon that adds romantic and delicate beauty to any end use.

Ribbon Care: All ribbon is steamed and hand rolled onto wooden spools before sending to you. Should the ribbon become wrinkled, feel free to use a hair straightener or low heat iron to gently press. Ribbon can be handwashed using a pH neutral soap in tepid water. We recommend using Dr. Bronner's castile soap and hanging to dry. Should any threads come loose simply clip carefully to remove.

Rosemarine Textiles is a sustainable textile studio based in Detroit, Michigan run by Meghan Navoy. Rosemarine makes hand torn silk ribbons, table runners, napkins and scarves using the rich, complex colors of plant based dyes. Each piece is made by hand in their Detroit studio using processes that take many days to achieve the perfect color.

Plant dyes create deep and complex shades that seem to subtly change with the light. Although the same recipe is used for each batch, no two pieces will be identical in color. Each step in the process of crafting this piece is done intentionally by hand in our Detroit studio. The result is an organic color and lightly textured piece that adds beauty to any space.

No more throwing out paper napkins. Wash, dry and reuse! These linen/cotton napkins can be used as placemats or a handkerchiefs too.
