SHOP. LEARN. CREATE.
For 6 years, Mutual Adoration has been building custom furniture, picture frames, and housewares, primarily from reclaimed wood. In 2017 we began curating POST - an open concept retail store and workshop space on Detroit's East side. Housed in a US Post Office, built in 1940, POST carries a huge variety of handmade goods from small independent makers, as well as offering weekend workshops in contemporary craft.
Mutual Adoration, Tait Design Co., Scarlet Crane Creations, White Owl Jewelry, Melissa Dettloff, and a rotating resident artist (currently Amber Barker). These companies produce and design their goods right here in the building.
POST is also becoming known as Detroit's best place to shop small, whether for a gift or your home. We carry about 100 brands, all independent companies and artists. Their products are all made by hand, in small batches.
POST offers workshops and classes, in all aspects of contemporary craft. From screen printing to woodworking, jewelry making to hand lettering, there's a class for everyone on our schedule.
