Sewing Machine Essentials Workshop: Throw Pillows for Beginners

Saturday September 20th from 10:30am to 2:30pm

Entry Level Class—No experience necessary

Age 14+ (minors must accompany an adult)

If you’ve never used a sewing machine or simply need a refresher, this class will build your sewing confidence!

Our Sewing Machine Essentials workshop will introduce you to the basics of using a sewing machine including threading the machine, creating a bobbin, stitch selections,  and sewing seams. Your new knowledge will be put to practice with a simple envelope pillow cover that you will complete in this class.

All tools, materials, and supplies will be provided in class.

Please bring your own sewing machine if you wish to learn on your own equipment or you may borrow a studio machine. Please select your preference when you checkout.

About the Instructor:

Donna Killeen is the owner and creator of Detroit Apron Company. She enjoys working with natural linen and cotton fabrics to create aprons, hand towels, and market bags. Donna has been teaching at POST since 2018!
