Meet Kristy Kay - an artist, designer, maker and mom. For over a decade, she worked in animation, designing for films like The Spongebob Movie: Sponge on the Run, Hotel Transylvania 2, and Smurfs: The Lost Village, helping to develop worlds through visual development. But after the pandemic reshaped the animation world, and with the life-changing experience of becoming a mom, she found herself craving a more intentional, hands on way of creating.
Carving out the time to build a new creative space outside of animation, she now designs and sews colorful quilts and beginner-friendly quilt kits, and hosts hands-on workshops that invite others to experience the joy of making. Her style blends modern folk with bold colors and playful shapes, crafted to spark joy and celebrate the beauty of handmade.
