The creation of Marvling Bros is a story that began in 2010 with two mums at the school gates of a sleepy surburban primary school in Essex… In 2010 the head mistress of the school held a competition for the pupils. The task seemed straightforward and simple enough: How much can you fit in a matchbox? Hayley’s seven-year-old son was not enthused by idea, but Hayley entered for him and came up with all sorts of objects that not only fitted in the matchbox but fulfilled a concept too. For example, a grain of rice and a coriander seed which she labelled ‘curry takeaway’, and a picture of the Mona Lisa and Van Gogh’s Sunflowers became a miniature art gallery. She did not win the competition, and most people thought it was mad, but one other person at the school totally got it - Emma. Two years later, Emma, inspired by the matchboxes, (and having just offloaded her youngest child at school) thought the concept could be the basis for a business and for nine months she and Hayley beavered away researching products, developing ideas and learning how to run an e-commerce company. They launched in July 2013 with a website and 12 different product designs. In the first week they sold exactly ten matchboxes, half of those to people they knew. Not the big hit they were hoping for. However, by their first Christmas, they were flying out of the door. In the last eight years the business has gone from strength to strength, while keeping the company ethos - to provide inspiration!

Moglea is a design studio that creates modern paper and home goods, and was founded by Meg and Chad Gleason in 2012. Their artful line is created by using hand-applied production processes like paint and dye to add one-of-a-kind elements to each finished product. The production team in their Iowa-based studio thoughtfully applies layers of paint to extra thick sheets of paper before cutting them down, yielding unique compositions. Cards are dipped one at a time in custom blends of pigment and organic dyes. Each piece is finished on one of their antique presses where it is foil stamped, printed or die cut using traditional letterpress printing processes.

Joelle Medici and Emily Doyle are sisters and the creative minds behind Mr. Sogs. Together, they dedicate their time to creating unique products for kids and adults alike. Joelle holds a Fine Arts degree and Emily, an English degree holds a degree in English, both the University of Memphis. They enjoy spending time collaborating with one another to come up with new product ideas to bring the best, most finely crafted products to life. As time has progressed, Joelle has taken the reigns of the business, focusing more on the design and wholesale aspect, while Emily has dedicated her time to sales, marketing, and productivity of merchandise. Both Joelle and Emily have a deep love of animals, which can be seen throughout the collection from the unique spin on an aardvark to the more realistic portrayal of a penguin. Their goal is to bring creations to life based on imagination and modern design by producing affordable, unique designs parents will want to buy their children as well as capturing the whimsy of adults being a child at heart.
