EP MFG is a collective of nice people. We print and distribute letterpress cards for a variety of independent design brands. Our mission is to make people feel good, and encourage them to make others feel good too. We like to think of ourselves as ‘thoughtful as hell’ -- with a commitment to craft, sustainable manufacturing, and putting people first in all that we do. Here’s what you get when you work with us: Really Good Letterpress: We do letterpress the traditional way: by hand, with artistry and attention to craftsmanship. Every card we manufacture is exceptionally made. High Volume: With well over half a million cards going out the door each year, we offer quality and quantity at a speed not typically associated with the “snail mail” we produce. Sustainable Manufacturing: We make responsibly. From what we use, to how we use it, and constantly looking for ways to use less. We piloted our plastic-free packaging in 2023 with great success, eliminating plastic sleeves on 66% of cards that went out the door!

Cynla was founded to artfully and playfully celebrate the best moments in life. Drawing is my escape and has become a way for me to stress less and focus more on what matters every day. I want to create art that has meaning and that people want to share and love receiving. I strive to only put into the world designs and products I really love (that are also easy on the environment). I now live with my amazing husband and beautiful, loud little girl in the inspiring, gorgeous Hudson Valley. I draw out of my home studio office overlooking a tree-lined yard with the sun streaming in.

Lisa Congdon is an internationally known fine artist, illustrator and writer. She makes art for clients around the globe, is the author of ten books, and hosts a podcast. Lisa is self-taught and didn’t achieve momentum in her career until she was nearly 40 years old. Despite her untraditional path, Lisa has achieved recognition, not just as an artist, but as a leader in the industry for her work in social justice, knowledge sharing, mentoring and teaching. In March of 2021, she was named “One of the 50 Most Inspiring People and Companies According to Industry Creatives” published by AdWeek. When she's not making art, you can find her in her bike. She lives and works in Portland, Oregon.

To get a letter, write a letter. This fine set of stationery is inspired by Eaton’s Letterquette, a small “book” that was produced in the ‘60’s that held writing sheets and envelopes firmly within a perfect bound book. It allowed the style-conscious letter writer to easily remove sheets or envelopes at will.

In recreating this lovely system with our own unique vision, we couldn’t resist using our favorite papers and feeding each sheet through our Riso duplicator and antique presses before binding. Risograph printing uses a process similar to screen printing which adds special characteristics like uneven coverage, ink smudging (due to the environmentally friendly soy ink), and tiny shifts in registration.

Moglea is a design studio that creates modern paper and home goods, and was founded by Meg and Chad Gleason in 2012. Their artful line is created by using hand-applied production processes like paint and dye to add one-of-a-kind elements to each finished product. The production team in their Iowa-based studio thoughtfully applies layers of paint to extra thick sheets of paper before cutting them down, yielding unique compositions. Cards are dipped one at a time in custom blends of pigment and organic dyes. Each piece is finished on one of their antique presses where it is foil stamped, printed or die cut using traditional letterpress printing processes.

A stellar choice for those looking for a card and gift combo! These Risograph cards are printed in brilliant color and have a 22-karat gold gilt magnetic lapel pin. The magnetic backing is flat so you can drop them in the mail using a standard letter postage stamp. Each pin is slightly smaller than 1" (2.5 cm). Each folded card is 4.25" x 5.5" (16 x 11 cm) and comes with a white envelope. Blank inside.

Handmade in the heart of Tennessee since 1879! Located in downtown Nashville, Hatch Show Print is one of the oldest working letterpress and design shops in America. The designers who create the prints from the shop’s antique wood type and hand-carved printing blocks also print each and every print on site using vintage letterpress printing presses. Since it opened, the shop’s vibrant posters have served as a leading advertising medium for southern entertainment, ranging from vaudeville and minstrel shows to magicians and opera singers, from baseball games to movies, from members of the Grand Ole Opry like Bill Monroe and Minnie Pearl, to rock & roll icons such as Elvis Presley and Chuck Berry. Today, musicians and entertainers from around the world call on Hatch Show Print to design and print eye-catching, iconic posters, drawing on the shop’s incredible collection of wood type and imagery printed from blocks made in the shop. The staff at Hatch Show Print has always been committed to the shop’s longevity, combining twenty-first century sensibilities with eighteenth century technology. The same skills and techniques used to design and print show posters are put to use to create the incredible array of prints, cards and more available here. It is almost possible to feel the patina the tools carry after a century and a half of use and to smell the hand-mixed ink used to print these vibrant pieces, one color at a time, one piece of paper at a time.

Sketchy Notions was established in 2011 by Chelsea Ward, a Southern California native and travel addict. Originally Sketchy Notions was just a blog because Chelsea had no knowledge of how to build a website in order to share her work with family and friends. After graduating from the University of Texas at Austin with a BFA in Studio Art, Chelsea flew off to Italy for 2 years to fill sketchbooks and create while abroad. In 2012, she returned to California and started turning her sketches and paintings into prints and cards.
