Show off your home chef skills with these beautifully handcrafted grater plates!

Grater plates have their origin in the ancient Roman, Hindu, and Japanese cultures. The ceramic plates are a delightful surprise for first-time users. They can be used to grate, smash, peel, and crush all sorts of fruit, vegetables, and spices. The list of foods that you can grate with the grating plate is almost endless! Prep + Serve! Clean up is fast since you can grate your food directly on the base of the plate. These are a cute and colorful alternative to metal and electric graters, grinders, and microplanes.

FAQ:

How do I get the grated content out of the inside of the plate?
We can easily remove its content in different ways, we can do it with a kitchen brush (or even a toothbrush that we use for this purpose), we can do it by gently passing our finger and dragging the content out, we can dilute the grated content with a little oil or water to help us drag the grated food, or we can turn the plate over so that the content of the grated food falls out.

In the case of dry foods such as nutmeg, Parmesan cheese, almonds, or stale bread, it is best to grate these foods with the dry plate. In the case of garlic, you can pour a little oil on the plate and thus facilitate its removal and enjoy the garlic already mixed with the oil.

Handmade in Spain

Alfar Tierra Cocida is a company that manufactures, designs and markets handmade ceramics made in Spain. We create pieces that are useful and functional for our customers and that also have current designs adapted to the demands of today's society. In our company we focus on products that can replace those that are more polluting, and create a real alternative that respects the environment, the planet and the health of our customers. We also appreciate the artisanal process in the manufacture of products, and much of this process plus the decoration of the pieces, are handmade, so each piece is different from the other creating unique pieces, and this is something that can be seen at first glance.
