Hand Lettering Workshop: Pointed Pen Calligraphy

Entry Level Class—No experience necessary

This beginner-friendly class is a fun introduction to pointed pen calligraphy. Nicole will share her techniques for addressing envelopes, place cards, and other paper goods.

Students will get comfortable lettering with traditional calligraphy techniques and move on to envelope addressing, table cards, and optional ornament lettering.

All tools and supplies are included. Students will bring home the knowledge of pointed pen calligraphy basics, a letter liner, and the tools to start calligraphy at home!

About the Instructor:

Nicole St. John Hamborsky is a visual artist based in Grosse Pointe Park, Michigan. Her specialties include food and beverage photography, modern design and lettering, and creative direction. Nicole is a proud alumni of the College for Creative Studies in Detroit and the owner/operater of upstairs neighbor which specializes in sign painting, calligraphy, lettering, chalkboard illustration, teaching, and more.
