Drop-In Workshop: Decorative Magnets

Led by maker Melissa West, of Studio M West

During this quickie make + take workshop, you’ll choose from one of Melissa’s concrete magnet creations and customize it yourself. Learn about color combinations and how to best paint and seal the concrete surface. 

All supplies, tools, and hardware will be provided. Just bring your creativity or at least an open mind, ready to be inspired!

Saturday July 25th

DROP-IN anytime between 2pm and 5pm

This drop-in project does not have a specific start and stop time. Just drop-in anytime during the workshop. Please note that most folks will need 20-40 minutes to complete this project so please plan accordingly.

Entry Level Class—No experience necessary

All ages are welcome but note that all youngsters must be accompanied by an adult.

About the Instructor:

Melissa West is an interdisciplinary artist based in Dearborn, holding a BFA in painting. After graduating, she unearthed a passion for creating handcrafted objects. Over the past years, she has explored the versatility of concrete, crafting one-of-a-kind planters and home decor pieces. Combining her love for plants with her creative spirit, Melissa teaches a variety of workshops at POST.
