Drop-In Workshop: Needle Felting

This drop-in project does not have a specific start and stop time. Just drop-in anytime during the workshop. Please note that most folks will need 30-40 minutes to complete this project so please plan accordingly.

This quickie drop-in style workshop is led by fibers artist Ashley Welser, of Ashwelle Fiber Works.
Whether you’re looking to mend moth holes, fill in worn elbows, repair small snags, or simply want to add some pizzazz to that drab old sweater - you are going to love Needle Felting! Ashley will introduce you to visible and invisible mending techniques for use on most knits. Needle felting works well on wool, cashmere, alpaca, and most cotton, acrylic, silk, and linens blends too.
All tools & supplies are included. A variety of roving and fabrics will be provided for practice. We encourage you to bring in your own knits as well.
About the Instructor:
Ashley's love of knitting and fiber arts blossomed at the age of twelve and quickly became her passion. Her goal as a teacher of fiber arts is to cultivate a love of crafting in a way that inspires students to think creatively about the resources surrounding them and to fill the world with beauty while doing tasks that increase mindfulness and independent thinking. She also owns Ashwelle Fiber Works - a hand spun and hand dyed yarn business emphasizing the creation of unique small batch yarns made slowly, thoughtfully, and with respect to the materials used in the process.
