Create your own motifs, patterns, and color combinations while learning how to screen print on textiles!
Bring your own gear to print on - tote bags, tee shirts, bandanas, outerwear. Items MUST be at least 75% plant fiber such as cotton, silk, linen, or hemp. Denim, canvas, smooth twill, and cotton sweats work well. Consider printing over a stain on your favorite shirt. This is an opportunity to bring life back to wardrobe - helping to make fashion more sustainable!
During this make & take workshop, Shayla will teach you about multi-color placement printing, designing and printing repeat patterns, and special techniques for screen printing on fabric. Learn how to print and heat set water based inks so that they are colorfast and long-lasting.
Aprons will be provided, but please wear clothes that you don’t mind getting a little bit dirty. Screen printing ink will stain your clothing!
