Sewing Workshop: Reversible Tote Bags

What's better than a market tote bag? A reversible market tote bag! What's even better than that? One that you have made yourself!!
In this sewing skill builder class you will learn to construct a reversible lined market tote while you advance your sewing skills even further. Using a sewing machine, this bag will be constructed using more elements than my previous bag workshops. These elements include:
- cutting out the bag and lining using a pattern
- making your own handles for the bag
- applying a pocket

making gussets and lining the bag
It may sound like a lot but you will come away satisfied with your new skills as a beginner.
* No pattern sewing experience is necessary, however you should know your way around a sewing machine. This is a great class for students who have taken one of our Beginner Sewing workshops or have some (even minimal) experience sewing on a machine.
All supplies, notions, and fabric will be provided, including some specialty holiday prints. If you would like to bring your own lining fabric, please choose a mid weight cotton, such as a quilting cotton, ¾ of a yard.
Bring your own sewing machine if you wish to learn on your own equipment or you may borrow a studio machine. Please select your preference when you checkout.
About the Instructor:
Donna Killeen is the owner and creator of Detroit Apron Company. She enjoys working with natural linen and cotton fabrics to create aprons, hand towels, and market bags. Donna has been teaching at POST since 2018!
