Sewing Workshop: Adjustable Crossbody Bags

*This is a Beginner Level workshop - this means that you don't need to know much about sewing but you must know how to thread a machine and wind a bobbin. If you are a total newbie and unsure how to use a sewing machine, you may want to start with our Sewing Machine Essentials workshop. 

Slings, Fanny Packs, Bum Bags, Belt Bags, whatever you call them, these crossbody carry-alls are always in fashion for good reason! Endlessly versatile and adjustable, these bags can be worn so many ways and made in so many fabrics. We have perfected a super pattern that is easy to learn and features a lined interior, secure zipper closure, inner pocket, and an adjustable strap.

We'll have a variety of fabrics, straps, and zippers for you to choose from. We have a wide array of colors, patterns, and textures for the bag's exterior and interior. You are also welcome to bring your own fabric.

Please bring your own sewing machine if you wish to learn on your own equipment or you may use a POST studio machine during the class. Please select your preference when you checkout.

About the Instructor:

Donna Killeen is the owner and creator of Detroit Apron Company. She enjoys working with natural linen and cotton fabrics to create aprons, hand towels, and market bags. Donna has been teaching at POST since 2018!
