Drop-In Workshop: Mahjong Bag Charms with Barb Gervais

Create your own unique bag charm using an array of colorful beads, handmade mahjong tiles, tassels, and paper flowers! 

Participants will learn simple techniques for beading and assembling. 

Perfect for all ages and skill levels—no experience necessary.

Come relax and create with us, leaving with your own colorfully whimsical bag charm!

DROP-IN anytime between 5pm and 8pm

This drop-in project does not have a specific start and stop time. Just drop-in anytime during the workshop. Please note that most folks will need approximately 30 minutes to complete this project so please plan accordingly.

All ages are welcome but note that all youngsters must be accompanied by an adult.

About the Instructor:

Barb Gervais is an expressive and somewhat experimental ceramic artist based in Saint Clair Shores, Michigan. Barb’s love for clay includes designing whimsical ceramics utilizing lots of color and eye-catching additions to her pieces. She specializes in handbuilding both functional and sculptural pieces. What began as a hobby in the education studio at Pewabic Pottery has become a full time pursuit of creative studio time, vending her wares at art fairs, and now teaching workshops at POST.
