Garment Sewing Workshop: Box Tops
Two Part workshop meets on:

*This is a Beginner Level workshop - this means that you don't need to know much about sewing but you must know how to thread a machine and wind a bobbin. If you are a total newbie and unsure how to use a sewing machine, you may want to start with our Sewing Machine Essentials workshop.
Spend 8 hours in the POST studio as you sew your very own slow fashion staple from scratch. Created for size inclusion and customization - this pattern is for everyone!
Donna will guide you through the ins and outs of clothing creation as we navigate All Well Studio’s Box Top Pattern together. This easy-wearing boxy top is not just an ideal choice for fashionable versatility, it's also a remarkable lesson in garment making. The pattern was designed so that a complete beginner can use it to make their very first garment AND a seasoned sewist can whip it up quickly and have a great time in the process.
Everyone will take home:
- Their very own Box Top
- All Well Studio pattern and printed instructions
- Box Top Pattern has 4 variations including a Sleeveless, Short Sleeve, or Long Sleeve Box Top
- All Well Studio’s complete Hacking Guide with 14 hacking ideas and essential techniques
**We'll have a variety of fabrics and notions for you to choose from, with a wide range of colors, patterns and texture. If you'd like to bring your own fabric, you will need 2-3 yards of a light to mid weight fabric (up to 5ish oz or 175gsm) that is 45"-60"wide. Avoid anything that is slippery such as satin/silk or stretchy such as jersey. 100% cotton is preferred, especially for your first garment.
Please bring your own sewing machine if you wish to learn on your own equipment or borrow a studio machine. Please select your preference when you checkout.
About the Instructor:
Donna Killeen is the owner and creator of Detroit Apron Company. She enjoys working with natural linen and cotton fabrics to create aprons, hand towels, and market bags. Donna has been teaching at POST since 2018!
