Drop-In Workshop: Hand Stitched Ornaments
Let's kick off the holiday season in style...POST style!
POST pals, Amber Barker and Rhonda Hamborsky will be guiding crafters through this fun project. Create your own colorful hand-sewn ornament using felt, sequins, beads, embroidery thread and more. We'll have a fun stash of festive baubles and bits to make these ornaments extra fantastic! All materials and supplies are included in the class fee.
Everyone will take home a unique ornament that is ready to hang or gift to a friend.
Sunday December 6th
DROP-IN anytime between 2pm and 6pm
This drop-in project does not have a specific start and stop time. Just drop-in anytime during the workshop. Please note that most folks will need approximately 1-2 hours to complete this project so please plan accordingly.
All ages are welcome but note that all youngsters must be accompanied by an adult and we'll be using scissors & needles.

About the Instructors:
Amber Barker is a professional crafter, procrastinator and mess maker. She graduated from the Alberta College of Art and Design in 2014, specializing in Ceramics. Although her practice is now predominantly fiber based, she finds similar concepts in both mediums. She has a deep love for kitschy ceramic cats, antique cross stitch samplers and international road trips. Amber was a POST Artist-in-Residence from 2019-2021.
Rhonda Hamborsky has been an O.G. POST pal since we opened back in 2017. She may even be in first place for most workshops attended! Possessing a love for all things fiber, Rhonda learned how to crochet from her grandmother, who taught her using the mirror method. Because Rhonda is left-handed, she will be using that same method to teach. Rhonda always has several projects in process, including weaving, crocheting, embroidery and also recently began learning to knit too.
