Adapted from Papillons by E.A. Séguy (1925). Séguy used the pochoir technique – the intricate layering of paints using stencils – to create beautiful templates for use on textiles, wallpapers and other interior design media. Here we have used his butterfly compositions, accurately observed from scientific drawings, to create wrapping paper. Courtesy Smithsonian Libraries / Biodiversity Heritage Libraries. 9

Use for gift wrapping, scrapbooking, or as decorative accent paper for bookbinding and other crafts. A sheet may also be hung as a unique poster art print.

The Pattern Book creates beautiful greetings cards and gift wrap from vintage graphics.
