Melissa McLeod is an avid birdwatcher and amateur naturalist from Detroit. Her birding journey is not a linear one, but escalated upon spotting a pair of Hooded Mergansers at Belle Isle. Hoping to shift the “nature is elsewhere” narrative of the city, she began documenting the birds of Detroit and sharing her sightings on Instagram. She has led walks for the Detroit Audubon Society, and organizes her own sporadic birding walks that are intentionally informal, inclusive and leaderless.

Hi Clare and Wayne,
Of course I had a great experience at the POST. Everyone is so kind and helpful, and you have really beautiful products. I love the tiles that you framed, and my cousin loves her framed Belle Isle and Detroit Map tiles. I love the cards I purchased as always. Sorry I couldn't make it to the event this past weekend.
