These unique earrings were handmade using the lost wax casting process. The design was meticulously sculpted in wax, cast in white bronze, and set with stones.

White Bronze is almost identical to Sterling Silver, making it an affordable alternative to sterling, yet still silver in color. It is a smooth, durable, non-toxic metal that is highly resistant to tarnish.

Therese Kuempel is a metalsmith and sculptor based in Chicago. She received her BFA from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago where she studied sculpture, metalsmithing, and both large and small scale metal casting. Her jewelry is hand-made in her Chicago studio/home where she aims to create well-crafted designs that are both unique and empowering to the wearer. Designed with strong, clean lines, her jewelry is inspired by a juxtaposition of organic formations and geometric shapes. She aims suspend the wearer in an ethereal place: a place between the impermanent, delicate organic and the impenetrable, industrial qualities of metal.
