Silver Acorn Necklace

Collected from an acorn from 80 year old oak trees planted by my great grandfather. The casting provides such great detail and texture emphasized by the antique finish cast in solid sterling silver and hangs on an oxidized silver chain and clasp.

Collyn DeBano, the designer and maker behind tree trunk arts, started the company in 2009, while receiving a degree in Jewelry and Metalsmithing.  Now from her home studio in Detroit, Michigan, she creates this one of a kind line of jewelry using the actual plant in the process. Each piece is one of a kind, due to the wonder of nature and her spin on the casting process.
