One Blessed Acre began when my family returned to my home town in Northern California after my husband retired from the Air Force so that we could be closer to my parents. I love all things country. Our family wanted a quieter pace of life, raising our children to love animals and self-sufficiency. One of the first animals added to our farm was chickens. Once we had adequate housing, we added Nubian dairy goats, with the intent of drinking the milk. They were bred and then we were in milk - a whole lot of milk! Out of that milking came lots of excess milk for soaps and lotions. Once I began looking at the labels on beauty products I quickly realized the need to have more natural products for my family to use. I found a love for being able to create different scented soaps and lotions. Our goal is to educate our community on the benefits that goat milk has for our skin.
