Petal People Press is a woman-owned business creating whimsical notecards from pressed flowers that delight and tickle. These vivid designs begin in my garden where I grow flowers, ferns and herbs. (I also snatch them from road sides and fields, too!) I pick the botanicals at the height of color and press them. Once dried, I arrange them into fanciful figures and playful designs. A local press digitally prints the artwork onto creamy Forest Stewardship Council-certified card stock. They are blank inside, packaged in acid-free plastic to protect from shop wear, and the botanicals used are listed on the back of each card. I strive to combine the beauty of the natural world with the warmth of handmade art. Customers say that my cards are joyful, playful, whimsical, expressive, nostalgic, sweet, fanciful and breezy. My goal is to create artwork that draws on the wonder of nature and the happiness that flowers bring. I hope you think they are not just a card but a little piece of art.
