Duffy Stender spent many years sculpting both wood and stone and came to believe that sculpting is something you feel, not something you talk about or plan. Duffy was born and raised in the rural Northwest, and inherited a strong feeling for the outdoors, both flora and fauna. He frequently combines weaving with his traditional sculpture work. Though he passed away last year, his wife - jewelry designer, Venita Stender - continues to share his work and legacy.

Cheryl’s work is a reflection of her “other” passion: gardening. As a certified Advanced Master Gardener, her abiding interest in things natural – and indigenous – is evident in her whimsical creations.
