Intro to Hand Lettering Workshop: Brush Pen Basics

Entry Level Class—No experience necessary

Age 10+ (minors must accompany an adult)

This class is perfect for absolute beginners or anyone wanting to polish up their lettering skills. We will focus on basics, but if you have a project in mind, please bring it!

Brush Lettering Basics is a beginner friendly introduction to the world of calligraphy and hand lettering. Students will learn fundamental techniques using our pro-favorite, Dual Tip Brush Pen.

All tools and supplies are included. Everyone will take home a workbook and their own brush pen in order to keep practicing. 

About the Instructor:

Nicole St. John Hamborsky is a visual artist based in Grosse Pointe Park, Michigan. Her specialties include food and beverage photography, modern design and lettering, and creative direction. Nicole is a proud alumni of the College for Creative Studies in Detroit and the owner/operater of upstairs neighbor which specializes in sign painting, calligraphy, lettering, chalkboard illustration, teaching, and more.
