Learn how to add pockets to your garments!

Whether it's a designer dress, a vintage jacket, or some cute fast-fashion pjs, we all have items that would be so much better if only they had pockets. Join us for a day of major wardrobe upgrades while we learn how to add in-seam, apron, and patch pockets to our favorite garments. 

Everyone will take home a copy of Jess Driscoll's book The Magic of Pockets: Why Your Clothes Don't Have Good Pockets and How to Fix That so that you can keep going on your pocket-adding mission!

No sewing experience is needed. POST will supply all tools, supplies, and notions. 

• Please bring at least one of two pieces of clothing in need of pockets.
• You may want to bring some fabric too. Think coordinating fabrics to match with your piece, adding a pop of color, or fun patterns for adding contrast and interest. 
• POST has a robust stash of fabrics to choose from as well. Solids and patterns in various weights will be available to use and Angela will help to select the best options.
  

About the Instructor: 

Angela Zachary, a third-generation textile hand-crafter with over two decades of teaching experience, finds pure joy in crafting and fostering community. Her passion for creating is fostered out of a love for sustainability, and learning to slow down.
